Technical Perfectionism: Why Your Set Will Look Impressive
The main problem for most DJs in clubs is the complete lack of adequate lighting for video. Often, the artist sits in pitch darkness, and instead of a stylish performance, the video ends up showing a blurry, dark silhouette with digital noise.
- I completely solve this problem technically. My standard setup, which I always bring with me to the venue:
- A top-of-the-line Canon mirrorless camera with a versatile, fast lens for perfect detail;
- A professional stabilizer for smooth, cinematic shots through the crowd and around the booth;
My own portable lighting. I always bring compact light sources with me to perfectly illuminate the DJ himself. If space and the club setting allow, I set up a second light behind him—to create deep, high-end backlighting.
A real-life observation from the dance floor: Club guests and I have noticed time and again that when my set ends and I pack up my lighting equipment, the next DJs instantly lose all their visual impact in the darkness. The right lighting literally “sells” the artist to the audience.
Why won’t the club’s in-house production team do what you need?
Relying on the venue’s staff to create content for your personal brand is the biggest strategic mistake an artist can make. Here’s why:
- A club might not have a staff videographer at all. The club scene in Tbilisi is geared toward photo coverage. In 90% of cases, only a staff photographer is on site, whose job is to take still photos for the club’s social media. If you need video, the management will, at best, offer you an SMM specialist who’ll shoot a couple of chaotic Stories on their phone. That’s where the “video production” ends.
- Different B2B tasks and priorities. Even if a club hires a team to create a comprehensive video report (for example, for a large-scale event or festival), these guys have strict technical specifications from the promoters. Their goal is to showcase the venue, sponsor zones, the crowd on the dance floor, and the overall flow of the night. In a video like this, the artist is just a fleeting element that appears for 2 seconds. No one is going to stand by the DJ booth for hours just to capture your peak moments.
- “Trash” content for Stories vs. High-quality content for the feed. Without a personal videographer, your archive of the performance will consist of dark, blurry clips that friends or organizers sent you via direct message. This kind of material is good for fleeting Stories at best—ones that disappear after 24 hours. You can’t post it to your main feed or Highlights—it looks cheap.
- Timelines that make the news angle lose its relevance. Club video recaps take weeks to edit. You’ll receive a general montage from the event by the time memories of the party have completely faded, and you’ll already need to announce the next tour.
Personalized filming support ensures that the entire story of your performance is captured as a cohesive visual piece for your main feed, and that you’ll receive the finished footage promptly and without having to follow up.
Visual content for the feed, not just a report for Stories
If you look at most DJs’ profiles, their performance content often looks the same: chaotic, dark videos shot on a phone by friends or event organizers.
- The problem is this: This kind of “phone” content is good for fleeting Stories that disappear after 24 hours, at best. But it’s completely unsuitable for posting to your main profile grid or Highlights—in the general feed, it looks cheap and blurry.
- How it works for me: My clients regularly share their achievements after our shoots. Thanks to proper framing, dynamic shots, and vibrant visuals, our collaborative content consistently appears in Instagram and TikTok recommendations. In the general feed, these videos look like full-fledged music videos. They immediately set the artist apart from the competition, compelling users to stop scrolling and watch the video all the way through.
Two simple ways to work: choose the one that’s right for you
You won’t have to worry about complicated pricing plans or hidden fees. Everything is as transparent and fair as possible, and tailored to your needs.
Option 1. Filming Without Editing (Most Popular Format)
Ideal for artists who have their own editors or who enjoy putting together their own videos.
- I make the most of the shooting time, capturing all the key moments, details, and emotions.
- The very next morning, I upload all the high-quality raw footage to your personal, stylish online gallery.
- The footage is available for download for one month. You simply grab the link and use the content.
Option 2. Turnkey Video (Including Editing)
If you want a completely finished product and don’t want to spend time editing the footage together.
You provide me with an audio track (your song or a mix excerpt).
I’ll select the best, most dynamic, and visually appealing footage and edit it into a dynamic, engaging Reels/Shorts clip up to 30 seconds long. The video will be perfectly synchronized with the rhythm and mood of your music.
Seriousness Filter and Reservation: After you make a prepayment to confirm the seriousness of your intentions, we’ll secure the performance date on the schedule. You’ll send us the set timing, address, and venue name.
Independent Filming: I arrive at the location in advance, set up the lighting, and get to work. You don’t need to worry about the details—I know exactly when to shoot close-ups of hands, when to capture the dance floor’s reaction, and when to shoot wide shots.
Submission of Footage: Regardless of the format you choose, you’ll receive the final product (raw footage or an edited video) within 7 days (unedited raw footage will be available the next morning).
Pricing and Transparent Terms
I value your time and set a fixed price for my services with no on-site changes:
- Filming rate: 250 GEL per hour
- Editing of the finished video (up to 30 seconds): 100 GEL per video.
A high-quality video of your performance in Tbilisi is your calling card for international labels, promoters, and your social media audience. Don’t settle for compromises or grainy footage from a phone.
